• Our team will pick you up from your hotel to begin a guided   City tour of Addis Ababa, the capital city of Ethiopia. The first stop is the National Museum, home of Ethiopia, where you will discover fascinating archeologically and historical treasures, including the world-famous 3.2-million-year-old fossil "Lucy". 
• From there, continue to the vibrant Mercato, the largest open-air market in Africa, where you can experience the lively atmosphere and observe local traders selling spices, grains, handicrafts, and fresh produce.
• The tour then takes you to the Ento Hills for a panoramic view of the city, offering excellent photo opportunities and fresh mountain air. You will also enjoy an authentic Ethiopian coffee ceremony, a cherished cultural tradition where coffee beans are freshly roasted, ground, and brewed before being served.

• In the morning, our team will transfer you to Bole International Airport for domestic flight to Arba Minch, Upon arrival, you will be warmly welcomed by your local guide and begin your journey to the Dorze Village, located approximately 22 kilometres in the Guge Mountains above Arba Minch. 
• The scenic drive offers beautiful views of the surrounding highlands and, on clear day, glimpses of Lakes abaya and Chamo, 
• The Dorze people are known for their unique beehive- shaped bamboo houses, which can reach up to 12 meters height and are designed to last for decades. They are highly respected for their traditional weaving skills, producing colourful handwoven cotton textiles that are widely used throughout Ethiopia.
• during your visit, you will explore the village, observe traditional Dorze homes, and learn about their way of life, including their farming practices and the importance of  enset (false banana), a staple crop used to make bread and local dishes. 

• After lunch, you will begin exploring the village and engaging with the local community. Activities include weaving a handlooms, for which the Dorze are famous, learning about their subsistence farming, and seeing how they produce enset (false banana), a staple food used to make kocho and bulla.  Kocho, a thick, flat bread-like food made by fermenting the pulp of the enset stem. Bulla, a fine, starchy flour or porridge also derived from enset.
•  Visitors may also watch or participate in traditional music and dance, and interact with elders to learn about Dorze customs, Social life, and oral traditions, refers to the way they preserve and pass down  their history culture, and knowledge verbally  rather than through writing.
• Following your village exploration, you will return to Arba Minch in the late afternoon. 
• In the evening, enjoy dinner at a local restaurant, sampling regional Ethiopian cuisine, before returning to your hotel for check-in and overnight stay, reflecting exchange and authentic experience.

• After breakfast,  you will drive south toward Turmi, enjoying a scenic landscape  along the way. En route, stop at Konso Cultural Landscape. a UNESCO  World Heritage Site recognised for its ingenious terraced farming, stone walled villages, and carved wooden stelae. Visitors can explore traditional Konso villages, see the stelae the commemorate ancestors and warriors, and learn about their rich social and ritual customs.
• Around midday, you will have lunch at a local restaurant, sampling traditional Ethiopian cuisine.
• After lunch, continue the journey to Turmi, the heartland of the Hamer people, one of Ethiopia's most colorful and culturally distinctive tribes. The Hamer are renowned for their ornate hairstyles, elaborate body decorations, and vibrant beadwork, as well as traditional ceremonies such as bull-jumping ritual, a rite of passage your young men.
• In Turmi visitors,  can interact with the local community, observe daily life, livestock herding, and craft making and  gain insight into Hamer's communal and ritual traditions.
• In the evening, enjoy dinner at a local Turmi Restaurant, featuring regional specialities, before settling in for an overnight stay in Turmi, Immersed in the unique culture and traditions of  southern Ethiopia.

• After breakfast, depart from Turmi and drive to Omorate, located near the border with Kenya and home to the Dassanech (Daasanach) people. 
• Upon arrival, cross the Omo River in a traditional wooden canoe to reach one of the Dassanech villages. The Dassanech are semi-nomadic pastoralists who depend primarily on cattle, goats, and fishing for their livelihood.
• Their dome-shaped huts are traditionally constructed by women using branches, hides, and locally available materials, designed to be practically and easily rebuilt as the community moves.
• during your visit, you will have the opportunity to walk through the village, observed daily life, and learn about customs and adaptation to the harsh environment of the lower Omo Valley.
• Afterward, continue  your journey to visit the karo (Kara) tribe, one of the smallest ethnic groups in Omo River. The Karo are especially renowned for their elaborate body painting and using white chalk, red ochre, charcoal, and natural pigments, they intricate patterns on their faces and bodies, often for ceremonies, rituals and courtship.
• Their villages are beautifully situated on elevated riverbanks overlooking the Omo River, offering stunning views of the landscape.  during the visit,  you have the opportunity to explore the village and gain insight with their customs.
• Late in the afternoon, return to Turmi. Turmi is a small but important town in the South of Omo Zone and serves as the base for visiting the region, including the Hamer people.

• In the morning, we visit the Hamer (Hamar) village near Turmi. The Hamar are one of the most well-known ethnic groups of the South Omo Valley and are semi nomadic pastoralist whose lives revolve around cattle.
• They are especially famous for the traditional bull-jumping ceremony, a rite of passage in which a young man must leap across the backs of lined-up  bulls to prove his readiness for adulthood and marriage.
• Hamer women are recognized by their striking appearance. the wear layered beaded necklaces, metal bangles, and have distinctive hairstyles coated with a mixture of butter and red ochre, giving their braided hair a rich reddish color.
• During the visit, you will explore the village, learn about Hamer customs and family structure.
• After the village visit, begin the drive to Arba Minch (approxiamtely 280 Km), about 5-6 hours depending on the road conditions). En route, stop at Key Afer, they host one of the most colurful weekly markets in the region( on Thursdays), where various ethnic groups-including the Hamer, Benna, Tsemay, and Ari-come together to trade goods such as spices, grains, livestock, and handmade crafts.
• If timing allows, you may also encounter Mursi community, know for their Lip Plates traditionally worn by some women and their strong pastoral culture.
• Then we continue the scenic drive North through the Omo Valley landscape toward Arba Minch, arriving in the late afternoon or early evening,

• Fly back to Addis Ababa after breakfast. Upon arrival at Bole International Airport, you will be transferred to your hotel for check-in. The remainder of the day will be at your leisure to relax, explore the city independently , or enjoy last-minute shopping and personal activities.

• In the morning, take a schedule flight from Addis Ababa to Semera, the capital of the Afar Regional State. 
• Upon arrival, meet your local Afar guide  and driver, and begin the overland journey into the legendary Danakil Depression, one of the lowest and hottest places on Earth.
• The dramatic landscape is characterized by vast lava fields, salt flats, and desert plains that lie below sea level.
• Drive toward Lake Afdera, a striking salt lake located approximately 100 meters below sea level. The lake is an important source of salt extraction for local Afar communities. here you will observe traditional salt harvesting methods and enjoy views of the shimmering white salt crust contrasting against the deep blue water.
• After a short visit and rest stop, continue driving across the rugged desert terrain toward Erta Ale , one of Ethiopia's most active volcanoes and part of the Afar Rift system.
• Upon reaching the Erta Ale base camp in the late afternoon, settle in and prepare for the evening hike. After sunset, begin a moderate hike of approximately 30-45 minutes to the summit caldera.
• At the  top, witness the remarkable sight of the active lava lake, a rare natural phenomenon found in only a few places in the world. The glowing  magma and dramatic volcanic landscape create an unforgettable experience under the night sky.
• After spending time observing the volcano, descend back to Erta Ale base camp for overnight camping under the stars.

• Early in the morning, depart from Erta Ale base camp and drive toward Hamed Ela, a small Afar settlement located in the heart of Danakil Depression. The drive takes you across dramatic volcanic plains and vast salt flats, offering a striking view of the most extreme landscape on Earth.
•  Upon arrival in Hamed Ela, continue tot he nearby salt mining areas around Lake Karum ( also known as Lake Asale) , a vast salt lake situated approximately 120 meters below sea level. 
• this area serves where Afar miners cut large blocks of salt by hand using simple tools, a practice that has continued for centuries. You will observe the entire process- from cutting and shaping the salts slabs to loading them onto camel caravans for transport across the desert. 
• the regions shimmering white salt crust, mirages, and endless horizons create a surreal atmosphere unique to the Danakil Depression.
• In the evening, return to Hamed Ela for overnight sky camping, where you will sleep under the open AIR.

• Early in the morning, depart from Hamed Ela and drive toward dallol, one of the most otherwordly landscapes in the Danakil Depression. En route, pass through vast salt flats and volcanic terrain, taking in the dramatic desert  scenery.
• Upon arrival, explore the area's geothermal formations, including bubbling sulphur pools, colorful mineral deposits, and striking salt terraces sculpted by centuries of natural processes.
• Dallol is extremely remote and hot, with limited facilities. so be prepared and bring your own  and water is scarce, making it important to conserve water and carry sufficient drinking water. Your guide will provide guidance and safety, hydration, and environmental responsibility during your visit.
• After exploring  Dallol, drive to Mekelle, the capital  of the Tigray region, for domestic flight back to Addis Ababa. Upon arrival, your guide will assist with either check-in or airport transfer depending on your travel plans.

How do you allocate our  room?

• We make every effort to allocate rooms based on same gender, unless you are a couple or travelling with friends, in which case we are happy to accommodate shared rooms if notified in advance.
•  In the event of odd numbers of travellers and where triple rooms are not available, one guest may be assigned a single room. In such cases, room allocation will be  made random.
• Single rooms are available if you prefer your own privacy; however, a single supplement applies.
